Valentine’s Day Dog Portraits Palm Desert, Ca
L-O-V-E is every day
Every year, Valentine’s Day brings with it a chance to express love and appreciation for all that is special in our lives. This includes the furry family members who bring us joy every day! Recently, I had the honor of photographing some wonderful dogs at a Valentine’s Day-themed mini-session hosted by The Shops on El Paseo for their monthly 'Yappy Hr'. It was an incredibly fun and heartwarming experience!
The Session
The session took place at Grayse's, one of The Shops on El Paseo in Palm Desert Ca - a gorgeous outdoor shopping center complete with amazing restaurants. I set up an adorable backdrop decorated with hearts and colorful garland to take photos in front of and snapped away as the dogs suspiciously eyed their treats - it was quite cute.
Large hearts, apple crates, and garlands made for fun props for those who wanted to add a little more personality to their photos. Given the amount of activity in the store, all 13 dogs did such an amazing job getting their family photos taken. It was truly a special day filled with love and laughter. Afterward, I sent the photos directly to their emails so that they could treasure these memories forever.
The Love
The best part of this photography session was getting to know several of the amazing pet owners. The stories they shared about their furry family members—from adopting to caring for them in their senior years—were truly inspiring. As we talked, it became clear that these pet owners truly loved and cared for their dogs as if they were one of their own kids, and if you're anything like me, you do consider them family.
