This may sound silly, but as a child I've always wanted to live in a community where when I walked into the sandwich shop the owner would say "Hey, Vince. The usual"?
I'd nod yes and explore the shop's little knick-knacks from local businesses, inhale the scent of freshly baked bread and exchange stories with other locals. And now, as an adult, I've found many wonderful places like that in Palm Springs (Rancho Mirage to be exact), but especially at 'Emerson's Pet Nutrition’.

Olive, the store manager, is always ready to brighten your day with her infectious energy. She may run up to say hello, but let's be honest, she's just hoping for a tasty treat!
