Valentine’s Day sweetheart-shaped dog treat recipe
If you're a dog-obsessed pet parent, like myself, you don't need a reason to spoil your pup, but it is certainly a lot of fun to do, especially during the Holidays!
This Valentine's Day, I wanted to do something special for my little 14 yr old, Abraham, by making an easy strawberry yogurt treat.
With that being said, the kitchen and recipes are not my thing. I'm the type of guy who is satisfied with a bowl of rice and beans - I prefer a quick, no-mess, no-fuss meal.
And that's just what this recipe is - an easy, no-fuss recipe! I picked a couple of dog-safe ingredients, blended, added to heart-shaped molds, froze, and walla - strawberry heart-shaped treats!
I can confirm they're quite delicious. Read below to learn how to make your own!

Frozen Sweetheart Ingredients:
You'll need the following ingredients to make these Valentine’s Day frozen sweetheart treats.
1 cup Strawberries
1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt (no xylitol)
Silicone heart-shaped molds, like these, or any other shapes of your choosing.
Blender
How To Make Yogurt Strawberry Treats:
Start by adding 1 cup of strawberries and 1 cup of Greek yogurt into a blender. I used fresh strawberries for this recipe but frozen are a great option as well - just be sure to thaw them out before blending.
Once blended, pour the mixture into the heart-shaped mold. I found it messy to pour directly from the blender, so I opted to use a tiny 1ml syringe, which was the perfect amount of filling for this particular mold. I did have a good amount left over so I created some larger hearts with these cookie cutters
After filling the molds, place them into the freezer and let set for 1-2 hours and then serve!
How To Serve:
Now that you have a delicious treat ready to delight your dog’s taste buds, here are a couple of ways you can present it to them.
Provide a couple of hearts by hand
Add as a topper to their food bowl
Spread some dog-friendly peanut butter onto a lick mat and top with your newly created Valentine’s Day dog treats!
And there you have it - an easy no-fuss dog recipe! Let me know if you try it out and if your dog gives it two paws up!
